These geese were on their pond after the very first hard freeze, and they seemed confused to be able to walk on the frozen surface. One fellow was really showing off, strutting around, wagging his head - an irresistable image to paint. The early winter morning sun was so bright and warm, but the temperature was bitterly cold. Geese seem immune to the cold.
