I do quite a few portraits of beloved pets. My wife provides a haven for stray dogs. This portrait is of one of our strays, "Orry" (for Oreo), who had been badly mistreated when he came to us. He's a wonderful, very smart, very protective, and very loving companion, and has become my wife's favorite. This painting was a Christmas present for her.
