This painting was commissioned by a family who had rented this little cabin in the summer many times, and it had come to have special meaning and memories for them. The cabin is actually in the Signal Mountain area of Grand Teton National Park, so a bit of Jackson Lake and of course Mt. Moran are prominent players in this landscape. Today, this cabin is surrounded by newer, and much less rustic "development", so when we designed this painting, we removed all the clutter, taking things back to what they must have looked like some 50 years ago.
