As long as we're doing chapels, I made up this scene of a small Russian Orthodox chapel in a wild and remote locale. For some reason, I have a real attraction to little churches in remote places. I've spent a fair amount of time in Alaska, and the Russians were some of the earliest non-native visitors. I envision this chapel hewn from the land overlooking the Bering Sea by those hardy visitors. There's a small onion dome on the chapel. The title is from the traditional evening hymns, and I often listen to Russian choral music while painting.
