This painting is of a famous landmark in the Jackson Hole area, the Sleeping Indian. Proper name is Sheep Mountain, and here it's bathed in warm evening light, with the National Elk Refuge in the foreground with some elk trying to make a living on the sparse winter forage. I never take scenes like this for granted.
